We have been busy nurturing the seeds planted in 2025 and early 2026. The Regenerate Cascadia Landscape Hub Showcase was an opportunity to tell our story to date and in our Zoom gathering further seeds were planted!
In the Showcase we articulated our Focus areas for 2026 and this post is an update for our three areas: Connections, Strategy and Strengthing Foundations.

Connections
- Community Connections Fair-grant submitted for Project Neighborly Grant, Whatcom Community Foundation. Stay Tuned!!!
- Exploring ways to support specific projects with folks who brought specific projects for discussion and consideration to our Zoom gathering.
- We can support your work/events through promoting on our website, newsletter and networks. Contact us.
- Tabling: come find us at events this spring-starting with the Fairhaven Plant and Tree Sale March 28th
- Permaculture Meet-up Friday March 27th-focus Propagation! More details.
Strategy
- The Hub Cultivator Program starts again March 24th and Bioregional Mapping is a main focus. More to come as this develops.
- Mapping leads into building a strategy and subsequent portfolio of projects.
- Strategy for Regenerate Whatcom will be co-created with community. As we develop paths to do so, hearing from you is needed.
- Please send us your input-ideas, visions, projects and needs- here.
Strengthening Foundations
- March 11th we revisited our guiding principles, values and mission and grounding ourselves in these key structures.
- We are working to understand what unique value we can bring to the deep work already happening in our area.
- We focused on building our financial capabilities and processes. The Hub Cultivator program is key for this work.
