SUMMARY:Owl Farm September PC Meetup
DESCRIPTION:Owl Farm is a 34 acre Permaculture Idea Site and Wildlife Refuge which includes four homes.  I moved here in 2003 and have practiced permaculture and landscape artistry for 20 years.    \n\n\n\n\nAside from individual gardens\, we have a food forest\, three patches of coppiced basket willow\, a pond\, 19 acres of interesting forest and lots of sensors to monitor wildlife and birds.  Less than 3 acres are under human cultivation\, the rest is managed for wildlife by controlling weeds\, a no dog policy\, and increasing native diversity.    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIn zones 1 and 2\, currently we are replacing plants that are not attractive to pollinators with natives.  The Meet-up activities are a tour\, apple pressing\, discussion and potluck!
